Imaging

Revealing traces of cleaned-up blood with chemical and imaging technology, providing 3D scans of crime scenes and incident locations, or creating macro images of traces and marks in the photo studio: The Imaging Unit is responsible for hi-tech imaging processes and provides imaging services to the other units. Additionally, image and film recordings from surveillance cameras and other recording devices are used for visual identification of persons and determining the height of offenders. Biometric image measurements and 3D data can help with forensic comparison but cannot replace the trained eye of an expert.
