Accident investigation

The Accident Investigation Unit assumes evidential duties following traffic accidents, accidents in the workplace, and air traffic accidents. Relevant evidence might include traces of material transfers on safety belts (automobiles), the functional state of turn signals or headlamps at the moment of impact, or traces of paint left on vehicles involved in a crash.
